An Edinburgh Elopement

EDINBURGH CITY CHAMBERS // JUNE 2022

I was delighted to be asked to capture the ceremony of Rosie & Brian. They decided to keep it super low key and just have the day to themselves. We met up in Edinburgh in the morning, it was a bit wet to say the least but they braved the short walk to Edinburgh City Chambers for their ceremony.

After the ceremony and in typical Scottish tradition, it was still raining so we kept under some of the coves that surrounded the chamber building before braving it out for a few shots down the alleyways of the Royal mile and round to Victoria Street for those gorgeous coloured buildings.

We got a bit fed up by the rain and headed to City Cafe where they let us have a few drinks and played some pool. I loved the American diner theme they had going on. They finally managed to take jackets off so we could see Rosie’s gorgeous jumpsuit!

Their wedding breakfast was at Civernos. The best pizza in Edinburgh and what a cool way to start a life as husband and wife!

After lunch the rain cleared up - Yay! We headed to one of my favourite spots in the Grassmarket and then jumped in a taxi down to Circus Lane where we nearly didn’t get any photos taken here cause a movie was being filmed (typical) but a nice man let us in for 5 minutes.

Finally I took them up to Calton Hill for a birds eye view of the city and to finish our wee adventure together. I left Rosie & Brian to head back to their hotel for a special dinner and they did tell me that they were going to have another bigger dinner with their close family and friends at a later date to celebrate. Congratulations guys!
