Aswanley Wedding

Aswanley, near Huntly

My adventure to Aswanley started the day before, I drove up to Aberdeenshire through some beautiful countryside and eventually arrived at my hotel, 10 minutes away from the venue and got a good nights sleep before Judith and Stuarts big day. The early morning brought sun and I was hopeful for a dry day. As I drove into Aswanley estate I came across this big beautiful barn conversion and asked myself why I’ve never been here before!!! It was stunning inside and out.

Judith was getting ready at a cottage just up the road with her Mum and bridesmaids. Judith is one of those people who has an infectious laughter and just lights up the room.

Judith went for a natural look and I loved that she wore her hair down. Her dress was stunning and complimented her in every way.

Stuart and the boys were at the venue welcoming guests.

Judith’s Dad, Stephen, looked so proud as he walked her down the aisle. Pastor Gordan Stuart conducted the ceremony. It was so beautiful to see so many of their friends take part in the hymns and readings.

We headed out onto the lawn for group photos.

Judith and her Mum, Barbara, did most of the decor by themselves. It looked amazing!

I took the happy couple around the grounds for photos. They were so many good spots for photos.

Lots of candid moments during the speeches.

In the evening there was a bit of rain but they braved it!

Finally they took to the floor for first dance as husband and wife. Guests then poured onto the dancefloor to join them and party the night away. Thank you to Judith and Stuart for having me – it was a beautiful Aswanley Wedding and I hope to be back soon!
