Scottish Elopement

Date: 2nd July 2019 // Venue: Dumbarton Castle, Conic Hill

Becky and Brandon made their way over from Canada for the journey of a lifetime. Not just travelling but starting their lives together as husband and wife. They have Scottish roots and used their time around the wedding visiting distant relatives and learning about the family. They chose to get married in Dumbarton Castle followed by a walk up to the beauty spot that is Conic Hill. I met Becky and Brandon in a hotel in Glasgow as they were getting ready.

Brandon left a little earlier to get to the castle and set up whilst Becky and I travelled together in my car. Brandon waited for her under a beautiful tree as she made her way up the stairs.

Just the two of them together, they read their vows. It was so peaceful and I just took a step back so they could have the moment together. After we took a wander up to the top of the castle to see the Clyde.

We then jumped in our cars and drove to Balmaha on Loch Lomond. We took a slow walk through the woods at the bottom of the hill.

After a tough hike in a wedding dress, suit and me carrying all my gear, we got to the top of Conic Hill to be met with stunning views of Loch Lomond.

The wind was perfect!

We then headed back down just taking in the beauty of the woods. Thank you so much Becky and Brandon for a great day out!
