House for an Art Lover Wedding

Date: 28th October 2018 // Venue: House for an Art Lover, Glasgow

It was a beautiful crisp October day, the leaves were full in colour changing mode and I was ready to shoot Maria and Arne’s Wedding at the stunning House for an Art Lover. It’s one of my favourite venues, such a stylish interior.

I met Arne and his best men as they arrived at the venue to greet the guests.

Maria looked absolutely stunning as she arrived out the taxi and greeted her emotional Dad for the first time as a bride. Arne waited patiently at the bottom of the aisle for his bride.

They had a beautiful bilingual ceremony performed by Lorna Hanlon so that both English and German speaking guests could enjoy the humanist ceremony. I learned that Maria and Arne met at school and have travelled together, done their own separate studies and ended up back with each other in Scotland.

We headed to the gardens for group photos and then I took Maria and Arne a walk around the building for some time to themselves.

We caught a beautiful winter sunset and took advantage of the Autumn leaves. Well done to them both for braving the cold!

The Interior of House for an Art Lover also makes a great place for photos.

Maria and Arne put a lot of thought and detail into their decor and it matched the house perfectly. So simple yet stylish.

After cake cutting we entered the dining room for speeches. Again both in English and German and very funny. After dinner I invited the guests outside for sparkler photos which turned out fantastic.

Maria and Arne took to the dance floor for first dance as husband and wife. They planned a surprise ceilidh for their guests who most of have never done any ceilidh dancing before! They picked it up so quickly and looked like they were having a blast!

Congratulations Maria and Arne, it was a beautiful House for an Art Lover Wedding.
