Harburn Barn Wedding

Date: 12th October 2019 // Venue: Harburn Barn, West Lothian

Kirsty and Peter chose Harburn Barn as their venue. A hidden little spot in West Lothian, its a gorgeous converted barn with a granary attached onto the side. Not to mention all the outdoor space and the convenient cottage nearby so that brides can get ready. I met Kirsty upstairs as she was getting ready.

Peter and the boys arrived in style with a sports car.

Kirsty looked stunning as she put on her dress.

She headed downstairs to meet her Dad and they had a quiet moment together before the ceremony.

Peter was anxiously waiting at the aisle for his bride to be.

They had a beautiful ceremony performed by Humanist Gary Smith. Including readings from guests and a traditional Scottish hand fasting. We then headed out to the gardens for confetti and group shots.

Kirsty and Peter got into my car and we drove to different location around the estate.

We had some really amazing Autumn light giving the photos that extra punch.

We headed back to the barn where tables were now set and looking gorgeous

Everyone headed in for speeches and we definitely got a few laughs from the best men….sorry Peter!

Even when the sunsets their are still opportunities for photos. Harburn had fire pits and a beautifully lit tree which we used to our advantage.

The final part of the night was the cake cutting and dancing. The barn was beautifully lit with fairy lights creating a great atmosphere for guests to get up on the dance floor and show their moves! Thank you so much to Kirsty and Peter for having me as their wedding photographer, it was a beautiful autumn Harburn barn wedding.
